There is something written on light beam alignment testing on wikiradiography here: http://www.wikiradiography.com/page/Simple+Quality+Control+TestingScroll down to "Light Beam Diaphragm Alignment Testing" The American Assoication of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) published a bit on the topic here: http://www.aapm.org/pubs/reports/rpt_04.pdf , on page 18 A few journal articles on the topic: Testing coincidence of x-ray and light beam.
