should we always do the deep inspiration for AP view??

Almost, but when we have a patient with pneumotorax we take two ap vision, first with deep inspiration and then a second plate with exhalation, because the pneumotorax is more clearly seen 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I hope that you are only doing AP chest positioning for patients that are unable to self support, rather than as a standard view? This surely has to be a last resort when in the department and the mainstay of any mobile chest radiograph? 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
