what is the best way to know if you have all the t-spine when you shoot a lateral t-spine? 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

Well there are 12 thoracic vertebrae...so identify T12 and count upwards. You can generally identify T121 because it is the last vertebrae with a rib articulating with it.

I don't usually count down from T1 because more often than not, T1/2/3 are obscured by the shoulders (depends on the patient of course).

Well the problem is that i can't tell where the last rib is, or where c7 is. I heard that by seeing where the angle of the diaphragm is, that's where t-12 is but, i don't know for sure... 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
