Positioning
  • Patient prone on the X-ray table with legs extended
  • Cushion for head
  • Place support under ankle and leg
  • Align and centre long axis of leg and knee to middle of IR
  • True PA: align interepicondylar line parrallel to plane of IR (usually about 5° internal rotaton is needed)
  • CR perpendicular to IR
  • CR directed to mid-patella area
