Assess:
- Brain echotexture
- Symmetry
- Haemorrhages
- Structural abnormalities
- Ventricular system
Documentation:
- Longitudinal
- Rt lateral to ventricle
- Rt ventricle with / without SI measurement
- Mid sagittal of 3rd ventricle / corpus callosum
- Mid sagittal of 4th ventricle / cerebellum
- Lt ventricle with / without SI measurement
- Lt lateral to ventricle
- Coronal
- Anterior fossa with orbital roof
- Anterior of middle cerebral artery
- Mid of foramina of Monroe / 3rd ventricle
- Mid of cerebral peduncles / cisterna Magna
- Post of posterior horns of lateral ventricles
- Post to ventricles
- Enlarged view of foramina of Monroe with measurements of ventricular width: lateral margin to midline
- If indicated coronal views of superficial views structures with linear higher frequency transducer
When abnormalities are found:
