From an architectural design standpoint, we typically indicate lead shielding from finish floor up to the height of a 7'-0"-tall door, but we recommend that the actual height be determined by a nuclear physicist or other shielding consultant, who before making that determination would be provided with a) a floor plan of the room where equipment will be located, b) an indication of the spaces below, on all sides of, & above that room, and c) product data for that equipment. The shielding consultant will also determine and shielding-thickness requirements. Hope that helps.
